Cocktails take some thought – and that’s why we love them. We’re detail people. Always have been. And we believe that a little lick of salt – or raw cane sugar – cane take a drink from ho-hum to whoa, yum!
We’re drink lovers who knew our drinks deserved better than table salt. When we couldn’t find what our thirsty hearts were looking for, we made it. That’s how Salty Paloma came to be. Named after the Paloma – a lesser-known but equally delicious tequila cocktail made with grapefruit soda – our goal was to serve up one of a kind rimmers, to help drink lovers cocktail like they mean it.
Hasta la vista, bad margaritas.
So what makes us different? We like lime just fine, but lime salts have been done. (So done.) Citrus is perfect in cocktails – but if we were going to bring another rimmer into this world, we wanted it to be unlike anything we’d ever tasted. A few grapefruits later…nailed it.
As for our collection of flavours, our OG salt will always be Fiesta, the original with lime and grapefruit. But you can’t cocktail like you mean it with just one rimmer. Enter Heartbreaker – raw cane sugar with grapefruit, for those with a sweet side, and Dynamite – the bad gyal of the bunch, with dark chocolate and a kick of chili.
And we couldn't leave out our love for mojitos, so we've got fresh Havana here with raw cane sugar, grapefruit, lime and mint. Last but not least, Maria, our spicy Caesar rimmer for all your brunch needs.
So cut the bitterness, cut the boring, and cut the crap. After all, we’re here for a good time, not a long time, right?
Amanda Chen may not be a great cook (her words) but boy, does she know her way around a bar cart. A firm believer in never settling, Amanda always said the drink world could use a better cocktail rimmer – and now it’s got one, with Salty Paloma. She loves all things food and drink, but naturally tacos and tequila take the cake, which is Tres Leches.
